密輸した覚醒剤を営利目的で所持したなどとして、警視庁と岩手、茨城、千葉、神奈川の4県警などの合同捜査本部は25日までに、覚醒剤取締法違反や麻薬特例法違反の疑いで、指定暴力団稲川会系組員ら男女7人を逮捕した。
押収した覚醒剤の量は計約169キロ、末端価格は約101億円に上る。
警視庁組織犯罪対策5課によると、覚醒剤は海上と航空の貨物として国内に持ち込まれた。船舶関連資材の中などに隠されていたという。米麻薬取締局からメキシコの犯罪組織が関与していると情報提供があり、警視庁などが捜査していた。
逮捕したのは指定暴力団稲川会系組員田辺高士容疑者（53＝千葉市中央区）や指定暴力団住吉会系組員高上雅之容疑者（69＝千葉県銚子市）ら7人。いずれも容疑を否認している。
7人の逮捕容疑はそれぞれ氏名不詳者らと共謀して2020年9月～21年7月、東京都内で覚醒剤を営利目的で所持したり、荷物が覚醒剤と知りながら受け取って所持したりした疑い。（共同）
